Barn Quilt Painting Workshop
Event Description:
Spend a day with Susan & Christina (Mom & Daughter team), learning how to paint your own 2'x2' barn quilt on Wednesday, October 14 from 10am to 4pm at Dare Arts. Hear the history behind the growing folk art movement and learn how you can become a part of the barn quilt trail in our community. Susan & Christina are local barn quilt artisans working together to spread the joy of a folk art movement sweeping our nation. Barn quilts were traditionally a large piece of wood, painted to represent a quilt block. They were hung on barns to decorate and honor family heritage. Today, barn quilts continue to adorn old barns, and have also made their way adorning all types of spaces like homes, offices, and more!
