Dare County Arts Council is pleased to present a Jewelry Making Workshop with artist Valda Belyeu on March 14, 2015. There will be two sessions on Saturday, March 14th. The first is from 9:30am-12:30pm, and the second is from 1:30-4:30pm. The morning workshop will give instruction on wire wrapped ring making, and the afternoon workshop will be wire wrapped pendants. Participants may sign up for one or both sessions. The cost is $65 for either the morning or afternoon session, or $110 for both workshops. Preregistration is required. Both workshops will be held at Dare County Arts Council, 300 Queen Elizabeth Avenue in downtown Manteo.
Instructor Valda Belyeu is a professional artist living in Washington, NC who creates her own personal style by working with sterling silver wire, beads, and her own handcrafted porcelain pieces and pendants to create one-of-a kind organic shapes in her jewelry. She finds balance between curves of the wire, open spaces and the twisting and turning inspirations of life, nature, and color.
