A Loving Spoonful - Zoom Workshop With Marlene True

Dare County Arts Council, A Loving Spoonful - Zoom Workshop with Marlene True

Join artist Marlene True for a free, fun-filled Expressions of Hope & Healing Zoom workshop on Tuesday, February 23 where participants will use their favorite bottle cap to create a spoon for scooping ground coffee or a sweet spoonful of sugar!

In this class, participants will consider the ever-abundant bottle cap and some of its post-consumer possibilities. Marlene will demonstrate the entire process of making the spoon from start to finish. Then, using a kit that Marlene will provide, participants will learn about forming metal, drilling, making, and setting a rivet. From Marlene's demonstration, if they wish to make more, they will know what tools and materials they will need to acquire to make more and be able to do it independently.

Class will meet on Zoom from 3pm - 4pm.
