Offshore from Oregon Inlet
Offshore from Hatteras Inlet
Offshore from Ocracoke Inlet

Well first let me say it was really great to get back into the ocean today.

Hatteras Inlet has had some issues of late with super low tides and shallow spots the way we have to access the ocean.

We made it both coming and going with inches to spare!  just kidding, we had about 5' in a couple spots, but the tide has been low and trending upward.

We are supposed to get a dredge here any day, waiting on one signature from one guy from the Army Corps of Engineers in Atlanta.  its sitting on his desk, has been for a couple of weeks, all we need is that signature to move forward.

Unbelievable

Anyway we made it in and out and although it was high tide it was and overall low tide level so I fell like we are good for a while, but we really need that dredge, but I think we can make it out an back as is but its sketchy!

We went out to our regular spring tuna spot and they were there, marked them saw them a couple of times, but in 4 knots of gulf stream current they did not want to bite good.

We had about 10 bites, pulled some off, caught some albacores, and landed two nice blackfins in the 25-30 pound range.

Great group of dudes from Michigan on board today, right around the are where the Kavanaghs are from!

thanks fellas!

Albacore Ed was on point all day!
