Had our friends from Watkins Duck Calls on board today in search of blackfin tuna on the jig!

Conditions were not good, lots of current and blowing where we usually catch them and we just could not get on them, we did catch a mess of blue runners, false albacore, jacks and a couple shark hook ups.

I decided to jog to the south a little bit and look around the rock pile.

We got out of the current conditions were a lot better, but we failed to get on any blackfins.  We did catch a couple of bonita mackerels (atlantic bonitos) which are kinda rare for us to catch and are really good eating.  We did decide to keep one nice amberjack (released several others along with all the blue runners and fat alberts).  We did have a nice by catch with a couple of sea bass!

Had steady action all day, just could not find a blackfin!

Brian Watkins makes a mighty fine duck call, I have several as does Cat, Jeremy, and several of my family and friends.  He hand makes each call, hand tunes and will custom engrave.

Give him a shout you won't be disappointed!
