Labor Day Weekend Wrap Up

Fished Thursday through Sunday out of Pirates Cove, Oregon Inlet.

Thursday we had friends from Richmond on board and they wanted to try to catch a marlin.

We had some action Catching a Blue Marlin in the 600 pound plus range, a blackfin tuna and a few dolphin.

Friday we had the crew from the Fisherman's Post on board.

Gary and his crew have had some great marlin action with us out of Oregon Inlet in years past.

We raised one blue marlin in the 200 pound range but took a swat at a long rigger but never really ate it.

We did catch a few dolphins.

Saturday we had my brother Jackson and his buddies from UPS.

it was great weather slick calm.

We had a shot at a decent blue marlin , but we pulled the hook shortly after hooking up.

had a couple of bonita bites also. Great crew, enjoyed having them on board.

Sunday we had some old buddies from Virginia on board.

This crew in various forms has spend a lot of time on the bite me.

No marlin encounters for us, we did watch a couple of boats catch blue marlin, but we could not raise one.

found a couple of floats and caught a few dolphin.

Taught Joe how to run the boat this weekend, so I can nap on the ride home!

The weather was great the whole weekend!
