New Stuff on the Bite Me
Besides all of the usually spring work on the bite me such as cleaning and touching her up, new line on all the reels etc, we have scored a few new items to hopefully have better fishing for you.
To start with the folks at Salt Life Bimini Bay Optics sent us a couple of pairs of their new shades. While they are not big enough for Cat Man's freakishly huge melon, they fit mine fine, and I really dig the Zeiss Crystal lenses in them. They are by far the clearest sunglasses I have ever had. We have been pulling it with a hook bait in the end of it off a rod on the Super Short Rigger and catching tunas on it! Later in the year we will be pulling it as a teaser, I think I might have to put heavier mono on the teaser reels!
We have been pulling dredges on the bite me for quite some time, and we have never had adequate dredge reels. There are some really great dredge reels out there but they have never been in my budget. After a couple of conversations with Carl at Elec Tra Mate we decided to purchase a couple of his new brutes for our dredge reels. We went with the 24 volt Brute 2000. I think they are going to be great, and they were in my budget! Cant wait to pullem.

Anyway, hate to be sitting at the dock on a pretty day, but we are getting everything ready for our steady fishing schedule this summer.
