Offshore from Oregon Inlet

Meghan and Chase on board again.

Slick calm again, blessed with a stretch of really pretty weather.

Caught a couple of sails right out the gate.

Decided to head off shore in search of marlins.

long time with now action, then Catman Hollers Right teaser!

We have been seeing a lot of whites and sails so I did not expect to see a big blue marlin head and bill out of the water all over my teaser.

He followed the teaser and dredge up to the boat white cat and Camo got the pitch bait out.

He streaked across the spread and ate the left teaser, pow!

Before we could react he spun around and ate my shot gun blue marlin bait on an 80!

A good pull, but unfortunately he came off.

I have been trying to put chase on a Blue One for several years.  They usually fish with us out of Hatteras in the early summer Blue Marlin bite.

Our hunt continues.

Great to have Meghan and Chase on board every year!
