Tuna!
Mike and the boys from Portsmouth Boating Center on board today in search of Bluefins.
We made the run up to the east and made a brief dip in one of my favorite spots, a lot of life but they were not there.
We then picked up and ran further up the beach to where the Oregon Inlet boys had found them.
We were prepared to run about 5 more miles, but I marked them, pulled her back and set out.
about three circles and we had one on!
a nice fat little 62" fish that weighed 175#'s just right for a recreational fish!
We trolled around there for a little while but could not find em again so we looked a littler further out and caught a 20# yellowfin, had another bite that did not come tight.
before long it was time to make the long run back to Hatteras.
