Baby LINKS works to support every new mother and her child from birth to age one in Dare County by empowering them to be healthy, secure, and ready for success.
Baby LINKS More Info:
This program is administered by Children & Youth Partnership for Dare County and operated out of the Dare County Department of Health & Human Services: Public Health Division.
Baby LINKS provides:
- Free home visits to new mothers & infants by a registered nurse
- Nursing assessments of the mother & newborn with follow-up contact as needed or requested by the family or physician
- Breastfeeding support & education
- A telephone helpline for non-emergency questions & referrals
- Parenting support & education
- Coordination of services & referrals to community resources as needed.
