Explore to Learn Playgroup
Explore to Learn is an organized, interactive playgroup that allows children and caregivers to participate in coordinated group activities to prepare the children for success in school and life.
Playgroup facilitators use the Kaleidoscope Play & Learn Curriculum to provide hands-on activities during playgroups. Young children (0-5) and family, friends and neighbors who take care of them will meet weekly. A playgroup will be held on Tuesdays from 10:00am-11:30am at Coastal Family Church in Nags Head (106 East Finch Street). A separate playgroup will be held in Manteo at the Center for CYP (534 Ananias Dare Street) on Friday mornings.
Registration is required to participate in Explore to Learn Playgroups.
Due to limited availability, we ask that families only sign-up for one playgroup each week (Manteo or Nags Head).
The registration link for each week's Explore to Learn Playgroup is posted on CYP's Social Media (www.facebook.com/cypdarekids or @cyp.dare) at 1:30pm on the Friday before the week's playgroup.
February Explore to Learn Playgroups in Nags Head will occur on:
- February 3 (registration link will open at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, January 30)
- February 10 (registration link will open at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, February 6)
- February 17 (registration link will open at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, February 13)
- February 24 (registration link will open at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, February 20)
February Explore to Learn Playgroups in Manteo will occur on:
- February 6 (registration link will open at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, January 30)
- February 13 (registration link will open at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, February 6)
- February 20 (registration link will open at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, February 13)
- No playgroup will be held on February 27 due to CYP's Block Play Extravaganza. Visit darekids.org/events to register for CYP's Block Play Extravaganza.
