October Update – Country Girl Charters
October has been a tough month for getting offshore. Between the wind and rough weather, we've only managed to fish two days so far.
Fortunately, we made the most of them! We caught some nice blackfin tuna and king mackerel on one trip, and mixed in some bottom fishing on the other, bringing home a good catch of sea bass and a triggerfish. We even caught an octopus, but he managed to sneak out through the scupper before we could get him home!
The weather isn't looking much better for the rest of the week, but that's fishing on the Outer Banks.
We'll be taking a little time off to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary, but we'll be back at it November 8!
We're looking forward to some good tuna and black sea bass fishing in November and December. If you've been thinking about getting offshore, give us a call and let's get a trip on the calendar!
