Audrey Penn Story Time
Downtown Books in cooperation with the Dare County Library-Manteo is pleased to present a very special story time featuring award-winning children’s author Audrey Penn. Audrey is a North Carolina author best known for her #1 New York Times best-seller The Kissing Hand (Tanglewood Press) which celebrates its 25th Anniversary this year. The Kissing Hand, a tender tale about separation anxiety featuring Chester Raccoon and his momma, has been translated into nearly a dozen foreign languages and has sold 6 million copies worldwide.
This special Kissing Hand story time will be held at the Manteo Library. To pre-order an anniversary edition of The Kissing Hand with a signed bookplate from the author, or for more information, please call Downtown Books at 252-473-1056. Please note all books must be ordered in advance, there will be no on-site sales. Miss Penn will also be visiting Manteo Elementary School and on Monday, October 29 will visit Cape Hatteras Elementary School and Buxton Village Books.
