45 seasons later, and our favorite view is still seeing your families gather around these tables. 🌊❤️
Some memories become traditions, and some traditions become part of the Dunes family.
Meet Emersyn, a very special young lady who has been making her own Dunes memories for the past three years. Her mom, Amy, has been coming to the beach her whole life, with sweet memories of her early vacations in South Nags Head, staying at Jerry and Pat Cahoon’s Cottage Court and getting groceries at Cahoon’s Store.
Three years ago, when Emersyn was just 5 years old, Rufus became an important part of her Dunes story when he served her what she says were the best hotcakes she had ever had! 🥞❤️
And now, every year, Emersyn comes back for her very own Dunes hotcake taste test — and, of course, to get her annual picture with Rufus! 📸🥞
We absolutely love watching these memories grow from one generation to the next. And Emersyn, you are just as sweet as those hotcakes! 🥰
From the very first breakfast Roxie and Rufus served 45 seasons ago to the Southern favorites we’re bringing to your dinner table tonight, thank you for letting The Dunes be part of your Outer Banks memories.
Here’s to the families, the traditions, the familiar faces, and all the memories still to come. 🌊☀️
Drop a comment and tell us your favorite Dunes memory from over the years! 👇❤️
