Trip With the Brackens

Inshore from Oregon Inlet
With a beautiful day we went out on our 10:30 a.m. trip with most of the fleet catching ribbon fish we decided to go our own venture with a grin that it half trip if things hadn't picked up then we would go and catch some ribbon fish. When the boats load control and speed the false albacore started breaking the water all around us. After hour and a half of catching 14 of them we decided to try a different tactic for a different fish so we could the king stuff out to catch a king mackerel. After 45 minutes of trolling we found one and got him to the boat and he was a pretty one. After leaving that we decided to stop and put a cherry on top of the trip by catching a short but the shortest did not cooperate. So all in all it was a gorgeous trip and with a wonderful day and a good group of people some of the crew of the fishing taxi tightlines and God bless
