Really Good Fishing
Some Really good fishing over the weekend. Drum of all sizes were caught from the northern beaches and piers. There were also good reports of spot, flounder, bluefish, croaker, sea mullet, spanish, and small pompano.
The Little Bridge is producing some really nice croakers, with a few over a pound. Scattered trout, puppy drum, black drum, flounder and spot are being caught as well. Yearling drum, sea mullet and a few sheepshead are being reported from the Bonner Bridge.
Hatteras Island has also had nice catches of drum with bluefish,spot, and pompano all in the mix.
Flounder season is off to a good start with some really nice fish being weighed in. The season runs September 15-30th with a limit of 1 fish over 15” per person per day.
