The bluefish and Spanish mackerel bite from the piers has been really good the past couple of days. There have also been some keeper cobia, yearling drum, spade fish, sheepshead, triggerfish and a few sea mullet.
Trout fishing continues to be good in the sound and the sheepshead fishing is really starting to heat up, especially around the Bonner bridge.
Cape Hatteras has had Spanish, bluefish, some really nice pompano and a few sea mullet here and there.
