Foraging Edible & Medicinal Plants
Event Description:
Celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Frisco Native American Museum by joining long-time museum supporter Jack Mcclung of the Potomac to discuss the importance of wild plants! Foraging was, and still is, an important aspect of indigenous culture and survival. Much more than looking for vegetables, wild plants that many overlook as "weeds" can provide important nutrients as well as life-saving when utilized properly. Jack will be bringing some examples of wild foraged plants common to VA and NC, as well as gathering some things from our trail to share with all of you and answer important questions! See you there.
Price:
Free with museum admission.
