Event Description: 

For the past seven years, NOAA's Monitor National Marine Sanctuary and partners have surveyed and explored shipwrecks lost off the coast of North Carolina during the WWII Battle of the Atlantic.  Join Lauren Heesemann, Research Coordinator for the Monitor National Marine Sanctuary, and learn about the battle that took place off our shores, the brave men who fought and lost their lives to defend our Nation, and NOAA's desire to research, survey, and share the stories of these sunken vessels now part of the Graveyard of the Atlantic.
