Salty Dawgs Lecture Series: Outer Banks Shipwrecks
Historian James Charlet is back for part 2 of his 3-part presentation on his new book, Shipwreck Rescues of the Outer Banks, which chronicles the United States Life Saving Service's mission and rescues off the NC Coast.
The Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum presents its Salty Dawgs Speaker Series which features presentations on North Carolina maritime history and culture including topics on piracy, shipwrecks, whaling, sea shanties and the mystery of the Lost Colony. The speakers are historians, divers, maritime history Masters candidates, musicians, professors, researchers, and authors. These talks are scheduled on Tuesdays from May 20 through August 26.
