Offshore from Hatteras Inlet
Inshore from Hatteras Inlet

The big boats watched the sun rise over a choppy bluewater this morning. It started with jacket weather but the temperature quickly climbed with the sun. They slung some gaffer and bailer Dolphin on deck along with a couple of Blackfin Tuna and a Wahoo or two. Hatteras Blue and Predator each released a Blue Marlin and Hatteras Fever II released 2 Blue Marlin. The Inshore boats had a good Cobia day along with some Spanish Mackerel, Ribbon Fish and Red Drum.

This week starts the Hatteras Village Offshore Open. There are many boats from all over expected to arrive. The Marlin must have gotten the memo as they are showing up in force. It's going to be a good week, stay tuned.
