Event Description:
Spring is the right time to be at Island Farm! Join in for the Farm’s annual Homeschool Day, where families and students will have the opportunity to learn together through a variety of hands-on activities that draw off of mid-19th century life on the Outer Banks. This year’s theme, “Many Hands Make Light Work” will focus on everyday work required on a circa 1847 farm on Roanoke Island. Special activities will include spring cleaning, candlemaking, hearth cooking, livestock chores, gardening, and blacksmithing.
Students receive a $3 discount on the Farm’s entrance fee for the day.
