Outer Banks Pirate Festival
Ahoy Mateys! Get ready for a swashbucklin’ good time. This is a family-friendly summer event where Outer Banks locals and visitors alike can enjoy two days of pirate-themed entertainment, living history, games, crafts, storytelling and memorable photo opportunities. Come learn the vast history of pirates on the OBX, and participate in Scalawag school for the little ones to see if they have what it take to be a part of Blackbeards’ Crew! The OBX Pirate Festival offers a memorable way to experience the area’s legendary maritime history while enjoying an exciting day with the entire family, see you there!
Daily Schedule:
- 10:00 a.m. — Opening round of cannon fire
- 11:00–11:30 a.m. — Scallywag School for Aspiring Pirates
- 12:15–12:30 p.m. — Cannon Fire Demonstration
- 1:00–1:30 p.m. — Scallywag School for Aspiring Pirates
- 1:45–2:15 p.m. — Cannon Fire Demonstration
- 3:00–3:30 p.m. — Scallywag School for Aspiring Pirates
- 4:00 p.m. — Closing of the encampment and final cannon round
Registration is required for Scallywag School, an interactive experience for aspiring pirates, and admission is $20 per child. Use link below to register!
