Aquarist Camp

This Event has no scheduled dates at this time. It last occurred on Friday, July 27, 2018.
North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island, Aquarist Camp
Event Description:

Get ready for a week of hands-on animal care to experience what it's like to work behind the scenes at the Aquarium. Help feed the fish in the Aquarium's shark tank, make veggie "meatballs" for the box turtles, design treats for the river otters, and learn the life cycle of Jellies.  See how the Aquarium gets our animals as we go on a collecting trip, bring back juvenile fish, invertebrates or comb jellies. A portion of each day will be spent behind the scenes, so roll up your sleeves and prepare to get a little dirty!

Closed toe shoes and a bag lunch are required.

Session I:  June 25-29
Session II:  July 23-27 * Please note-- spaces for this week's morning shuttle service will be limited (filled on a first-come, first serve basis with registration).
