Outer Banks Triathlon
Triathletes train for months to achieve their dream. Why do they do it? Some to win, some for their best personal time and for some it’s a personal goal on their bucket list. Individual athletes and relay teams exhibit various ranges of skill and expertise. It is 2 days of inspiration, excitement, relationships and achievements… come to the Outer Banks Triathlon and experience it all!
SPRINT - Sunday, September 15 = 750M / 13.5MI / 5K
OLYMPIC - Saturday, September 14 = 1500M / 24.5MI / 10K
HALF - Saturday, September 14 = 1.2MI / 56MI / 13.1 MI
All three races will start and finish next to Dare County Regional Airport and the NC Aquarium. The swim portion is located at the Old Swimming Hole location next to the Airport. The bike will be an out-and-back race on Route 64, over the Manns Harbor Bridge and into the village of Mashoes. The running portions of the three races will be out-and-back courses through the Airport, through the Mother Vineyard neighborhood and along the bike path to Heritage Point subdivision.
