A Little Slow Fishing This Week, but the Size of the Fish Is Growing
The numbers were down this week, but they made up for it in size! Puppy drum, trout, and flounder are dominating the sound action, with an occasional striper in the mix. Flounder season starts Sept 1st, and we are ready. Lots of big flounder being caught. They're here...come Sept 1st.!!! Pier action has been hit and miss, but sheepshead along the pilings, spadefish, pompano, and sea mullet. Once in a while a flounder comes to visit. There was a run of albies yesterday so there is that. Nearshore: some cobia, albies, ribbons, spanish and blues. Offshore: Yellowfin, big eye, mahi, and a few marlin releases. Every day the fishing improves. As the water cools and Fall approaches, it will just keep getting better! Have you booked your electric powered kayak fishing trip yet? There are some dates left, but we're steadily booking.
