Corolla Fish Reort
Yes, I have been lazy!! I'll catch you up as best as I can. We have had some good winds, and the drum has been biting. We have seen some bluefish as well, but haven't heard too much from the beach, and everyone is really just getting settled in. Today we have somewhat of a current running to the north, and the seagrass has been a problem for the last couple of days. Tomorrow will be your last chance, really, to wet a line, as the winds will pick up as this nor'easter begins to move in, and it's going to be a good one. On the one hand, it has been a very mild season this year, so I guess it's time for some unsettled weather. It's going to hang around till at least Sunday, so it will kill the rest of this week. I actually will hit the beach tomorrow and see what we get, if anything, but you have to try. The nearshore boats with lots of spanish and the offshore folks had some yellowfin, lots of mahi, and the billfish are off the hook right now. Tomorrow is the last chance to get out on a boat till things settle down.
