The Great Spanish Run!! The Spanish are back on the bite today and the bite has been later in the afternoon as of late. Lures are the best way to fish for these guys. You want to tie directly to the lure with your line and not use a leader as these fish don't like to hit lures with leaders, it's not that you won't catch one but you will catch more tying your line directly and bringing a backup lure as you may lose some that's just the price you will pay to go after these fish. The water temp today is eye-popping 72 degrees and that's just perfect. We have really nice clear water so the conditions are great. We do have mullet, spot, kingfish, and a bunch of flounder unfortunately they are not in season hitting the beach and they are eating shrimp and fish bites. The piers had a mixed bag of blues, spanish, triggerfish, flounder, and spade fish. The offshore fleet filling the fish boxes with yellowfin, wahoo, mahi, tilefish, and sea bass while the nearshore boats are hitting the spanish mackerel they are everywhere this year.

Charters are available just call the shop to book your trip!!
