The fishing picks up!  Yesterday we finally had some favorable weather. The water was clear and warm. There was a large school of drum spotted off of Avalon Pier yesterday making their way to the north. There were a few caught on the pier. In Corolla, folks did catch fish in the morning but it did not really take off until dusk and there was a real good spanish and bluefish bite going on mostly on metal lures it was described as nonstop action. With the high tide happening at midday the evening bite should be good again tonight as we have mostly the same conditions today. Would love to see the drum come closer to the shoreline, but we will just have to wait and see. Plenty of mullet, kingfish, spot, and croakers are also in the surf. The nearshore boat bagged ribbonfish, spanish, and bluefish while the offshore gang had yellowfin, blackfin, wahoo, sailfish, tilefish with some marlin.

Charters are available just call the shop to book.
