Corolla Fish Report
Not the best conditions today but they are getting plenty of croakers, spot, and some mullet. The ocean is flat today and there is a good current out there it may look safe but it can sweep you down the beach. Today's picture is of Matt and he went out with Brendon to learn how to catch a shark and he succeeded with a 7' sand tiger. Brendan is the person doing our surf fishing lessons and Matt came in the shop and said he had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed it. The conditions along the beach have been changing every day and sometimes more than once a day so you just take the good with the bad. Also, the water temp is all over the place and it is changing day to day early morning and dusk seem to be the magic time as we come back into alignment with the tides. The piers had an early bite with croaker, spot, pinfish, black sea bass, and sheepshead. Offshore despite the sharks they are still coming home with yellowfin, blackfin, mahi, and some marlin. As far as the bait goes for the shore fishing just about everything is working squid, fish bites shrimp and bloodworms.
