Corolla Fish Report
Calm cool day today and it sounds like the fishing did pick up last night. We had reports of blues and spanish last night and early this morning while the afternoon fishing seems to be slow. This week the tides are out of alignment from dawn and dusk so hitting the beach early and late in the afternoon will help. Today's photo was sent in by Blake Smith and caught mullet with a sabiki rig laced with fish bites so thanks for sending in the pic Blake. The piers had a good day yesterday with a good mix of fish with triggerfish, flounder, black sea bass, croakers, mullet, bluefish, and spanish. It did slow a bit today with sheepshead, mullet, and blues. Nearshore boaters had drum, trout, ribbonfish, and spanish. The offshore boats are back out again and had a great day with yellowfin, blackfin, big eye, mahi, sails, and blue marlin. The ocean has been calm for the most part but there is still a bit of a rip current along the beach but folks are getting fish. Today water temp is 73 believe it or not.
