The drum are here!! Well our resident surf fishing expert Brendan was in the surf yesterday morning and had a triple hook up first thing in the morning and landed three drum and then landed a fourth ranging from 23" to 34". We also had other reports of drum hitting the beach. The surf was rough yesterday and holding bottom was tough but if you were able to do so the fish were there. All the drum caught on mullet. The piers also had a good day with large drum, mullet, bluefish, spot, pompano, and flounder. Today the wind has died way off so far this morning so it should be a good day to get out there finally. Offshore boats are bringing home plenty of mahi with white and blue marlin hitting the lines. We should see a good mix of fish in the surf today and I will keep you posted as things change.

Charters are open and available.

Send your fishing photos to obxbaitandtackle@yahoo.com  and we thank you.
