Tuesday Corolla Fish Report
Today turned out to be much nicer than the forecast predicted. It was cool and windy this morning, but this afternoon has turned out to be very nice, with barely a breeze. The water looks much better today, and we do have some waves, but the story is, where's the fish? We have had reports of some trout and drum and reports of big mullet right on the beach but there wont eat any bait but folks with throw nets have caught buckets of them so there is more than one way to skin a fish so to speak. Jennette's pier reports today of at least 5 large drum hit the rail today but I am not seeing anything else so it has been hit and miss on just about everything this fall. There were some offshore boats out and returned to the docks with blackfin, yellowfin, mahi and king mackerel. The sound side fishing with captain Josh in Corolla has been doing very well with limits of drum , trout and some large catfish so no one is going home empty handed.
Charters are available just call the shop to reserve your day on the water.
