Can't believe it's that time already!! The season is coming fast, and all I can say is that I am not ready for it, we are well behind the old eight ball this year. We do have plenty of fishing gear this year, and even though some rods and reels have been discontinued, we managed to find some nice updated stuff, and we are stocked up. Shirts and gifts did come in weak this year, but we did pick up a new line of clothing that we think you will enjoy. One way or the other, we will be ready as we can come the opening time, and that will be April 1st, which is the date we are shooting for. I am already getting calls and there are people here if you can believe it.

As far as the fishing goes, we had a very weird drum bite about a month ago which was a little unusual, but nonetheless folks were enjoying it. We have also had a very good giant bluefin bite this year and the fish aren't that far out. For now all I am hearing is some mullet and other small fish. We did have a pretty good freeze this year, killing off a lot of fish, and there is talk of not being able to keep any trout this season, but talks are on the way, we will just have to see what they come up with and when I hear something I will pass it along, at least they can't take away the beer. The water temp is at 51, so not too bad, maybe we have a good start to the season, 65 degrees is not far away with any luck. I will try to keep everyone updated as best as I can as we move to the opening season and try to get caught up.
