Corolla Fish Report

Another crazy day. There is some action out there despite the wind we have had, but we did not get any rain today as we thought we would. There are fish getting caught. As I watched the pier cam yesterday, I just could not tell what they were, but they were of decent size. There are mullet and croakers out there, and we are starting to see some bluefish start to arrive. There were more kayaks along with boats running the shoreline, and you can see the birds working. Today's picture was sent to me from Captain Josh, who does our local Corolla charters, and it simply said I just had to go out and get me one!! Yes, the bluefin tuna are still here, and there were more hook-ups on Jennette's Pier with one angler fighting his for two and a half hours and did get it to the piers, which is considered a catch, and the other broke off. How long will they stick around is anybody's guess, but for now, it is game on!! The offshore fishing is also very good with limits of yellowfin tuna, and these are all very good grade fish. The water temp for today is 52.
Charters are available and never too early to book one, call the shop or e-mail me at obxbaitandtackle@yahoo.com and we thank you.
