It looks great out there this morning. The ocean is pretty flat, with clean, clear water. Today's pic was sent in by Andrew and Michael Holzwarth from Crozart, VA and these guys love their shark fishing and they landed two of them yesterday. So when the fish aren't biting, there are always these toothy creatures to tug on out there, great job guys, and I am pretty sure we will see more of them this week. Flat conditions out there this morning with a temp of 57, so we are creeping up just a bit, and a high tide around 2:30 this afternoon, so we may see a late afternoon bite. The piers saw some bluefish yesterday. The nearshore fishing had slot and over-slot size drum, along with a mess of bluefish. Offshore boats had plenty of fun with yellowfin, big eye, wahoo, mahi, blackfin, and king mackerel.

This week is going to be a rough one as we lost our bait freezer. We do still have some bait, but I am not going to be able to stock what we normally carry, so we will be very limited on bait. We are looking at some options, but these type of freezers aren't easy to come by, so we are looking at least a week to a month to get a new one. so please understand things will be a little bumpy if you're coming in these next few weeks

Charters are available and the fishing is very good Just call the shop to book.

Send your fishing picture to obxbaitandtackle@yahoo.com, and we thank you.
