Patients are the key!! I believe I said yesterday that we will have to wait for better conditions. Well, they did improve this morning, and we had a slight onshore wind flow with 1 to 2' waves and crystal clear water. We had a couple walk in to give me a fish report, and their father-in-law scored a drum this morning, to which I replied well, that's good news. Just a little while later, an angler came in for more bait, and they caught 5 drum this morning, and all were caught right by the shop on the outgoing high tide. I do think the next couple of days, at least weather-wise wise are looking good if not better, so we will see what tomorrow brings us. Tonight should be good, and peak high tide is 8:49 tonight so if your up for some late-night fishing, you stand a pretty good chance of getting one. We also had a report of a large bluefish along with others reported today as well. On the piers, I did not see much action to my surprise, some bluefish were reported, but they seemed slow today. Offshore still has plenty of tuna to be caught!!

Charters are available and we have many trips to choose from.

Somebody send me a fish pic for the fishing report and you may send it to obxbaitandtackle@yahoo.com and we thank you.
