Cooler temps with some rough surf. The conditions have been changing throughout the day. I had a resident fisherman hit the surf early this morning, and he got two drum, flounder, and big blues. He said the current was not bad. But as the day continues, the current seems to pick up and gets tougher to hold bottom, and then the sea grass starts to flow, so you just need to adapt as best as you can. Cut mullet and shrimp are working, and a short carolina rig is working for the rigging. Today's pics are sent in from our surf fishing instructor, Brendan. He and his wife are out banging some decent-sized bluefish with the dogs, as they do enjoy fishing as well. The fish are out there, you just have to catch them!!

Charters are available and the offshore fishing is really good and we have the best rate anywhere on the beach, you wont beat it!! Give us a call to book your offshore adventure.

Send your fishing photos to obxbaitandtackle@yahoo.com and we thank you.
