More of the same. The conditions remain the same, with a strong current and sea grass. It does seem that there are times when things calm down enough to get your lines out, and then it picks back up again. The best fishing seems to be up at the state line in Carova I have heard more than one report that the fishing has been good up there. They are mostly catching spot, croaker, and mullet, but plenty of action. We had one report of a drum a couple of days ago, and that was the biggest thing caught this week. All you can do is take what you get. From the piers today things are slow and not much biting as the ocean temp has dropped down to 66 degrees. Not sure what to make of all this temp changes and the jellyfish we have been seeing something is going on just don't know what. Nearshore boats have some big drum out there along with triggerfish and spanish. Offshore fleet has yellowfin, mahi, wahoo and sails.

Charters are available just call the shop for bookings.

Send your fishing photos if you catch one to obxbaitandtackle@yahoo.com and we thank you.
