Corolla Fish Report
Wacky Wednesday! Well, about thirty minutes after I put out yesterday's report, I received an e-mail from the Lundgrens that they were in town and catching all the mullet you could during the day then at low tide late in the afternoon they had bait boiling and they started throwing lures and were rewarded with a good spanish bite and by the look of the pictures young Parker and Sydney had a good time thank you Eric for sending them in much appreciated. Now they are fishing right down the street from the shop, and yet still hearing from folks not getting anything, so I'm not sure what to say. I have heard a few times today that there are fish jumping around, so try throwing some lures. Spanish don't usually hit bait; they like to chase things. The piers have picked up, and they had black sea bass, bluefish, pigs, and pins with spanish. The nearshore boats with good fishing with big spanish and blues, with a couple of mahi and bar jacks, with the extended trips getting into more mahi. The offshore fleet is mainly going after marlin as there is another tournament going on, but the private charters had plenty of flags flying with a ton of mahi. The crab and shrimping boats are also doing very well.
Charters are available, call to book yours today.
