Corolla Fish Report

Finally, a sunny Friday!! It seems that the skies have been overcast for a while, and it is nice to see the sun again. The surf fishing has been a little on the slow side, but there have been fish caught. We had a report this morning, and one angler in the shop yesterday to weigh his fish, and these were really nice-sized pompano, and to tell the truth, I don't think I have seen pompano this big up here in the 9 years I have been here. We typically see the babies. There have been some blues and spanish in the mix, and you can see these guys jumping out there, but they seem to be a little line shy for now, but that can turn around at any time. Plenty of bait fish are in the water with a temp of 76 degrees. We also have the usual mullet and croakers out there. For the piers, they are seeing an uptick and getting spanish, blues, pigs, and pinfish. The nearshore fleet is finding a good amount of big spanish, blues, and false albacore with a mahi here and there, but the extended trips are seeing more mahi. Offshore report is quiet with the tournament happening, and they are going for the white marlin, and boy, are they catching a bunch. Today's picture was sent in by the Price brothers, and they were back for a few days and landed this 7'1/2 sand tiger. They are done for the season but may return around Thanksgiving. That's what we have today, as tomorrow is another changeover.
Charters are available, just call the shop to book yours.
