Corolla to Nags Head Piers
Corolla to Nags Head Surf
Corolla to Nags Head Sound

Wet and soggy today. Lots of rain today with high winds, so there won't be much going on today. But since I have missed the last couple of days, let's get caught up. Despite the high waves and current, the drum bite has been very good with both Jennette's and Nags Head piers doing very well with lots of big drum, and as you go south, those piers are also doing very well. Most of the reports sent in have been up on the 4x4 beach. The Pisker family is in town, and Luke and his brother Matt came in to gear up and head up near the state line, catching some beauties. Kellan with his 22" 5# drum, Ben with a shark, Teegan with another shark, and Carson with a 24" drum. We also have Marcus with a whopper and our resident surf instructor with a 32.5", plus other ones, so it's not too bad up here. Plenty of bluefish are also hitting the lines. The tough part has been holding bottom, but if you can do that, you have it made. The bait of choice has been cut mullet. With this weather, we don't have any boating reports, and after this storm blows through tomorrow, we start to settle down, or at least the waves. The wind will still be around but will shift directions, making it a bit easier to fish. Hopefully, the bite will continue. I will keep you updated as best as I can.
