Corolla Fish Report

ALL HAIL KING AJ!! AJ Kreis from Vermont is the first person to hit a drum in Corolla, and it was a 31" at that. He came in yesterday to gear up and get some advice as he is new to surf fishing, and today came in for more bait and told me he hit a drum, so you could call it beginner's luck, but as he said, he's hooked now. The ocean has been flat for the last couple of days, and when folks ask how to read a beach, it is difficult because there are no waves or action that you can see, but he definitely did something right. We do have reports of baitfish starting to move in as there are birds working, and the dolphins were out as well this morning. We do have mullet and croakers caught, and let's not leave out the skate and rays. We also have a few anglers looking for some sharks to catch, but no reports yet. The sound side is starting to pick up as it is peeler crab season, so this should get something attracted. For now, we have catfish, a whole lot of perch, and a black drum here and there. The offshore fishing way out there does have tuna and mahi. The shorter trips are still finding the big bluefin tuna in close, and there are drum and bluefish there to.
Tom having trouble downloading the pics you sent me. Try resending if possible, thanks, buddy.
Charters are open and available, don't miss out on the bluefin tuna bite going on now!! Boats standing by.
