It's not much, but we gained one degree in water temperature, so this warm weather is starting to help. The fishing is really not too bad, but word of mouth from the beach this week is hard to come by, but some walk-in reports. We have heard of some keeper red drum, and the bluefish are out there, tearing up the bait and lures. One walk-in is catching a bunch of big southern kingfish. One angler did say last night that the current did slow up, making the fishing last evening pretty good, as you did not have to use a sputnik sinker. The piers did pick up today with bluefish, mullet, bonita, which is a really good sign, and sheepshead. I was just checking any late reports, and the water popped up another degree to 63, so all I can say is be ready, I can feel a reel good day coming.

Charters are open and ready, and they are doing well with a good mixed bag out there, so if your intrested, call the shop for details, and we have some new pricing that one of my captains just gave to the shop.

We need your fishing photos of any kind and send them to obxbaitandtackle@yahoo.com, and we thank you.
