Offshore from Oregon Inlet
Inshore from Oregon Inlet
Corolla to Nags Head Piers
Corolla to Nags Head Surf
Corolla to Nags Head Sound

Here we go!! The water remains crystal clear with a temp of 74 degrees. We have some pics sent in from James, who enjoys the report and is down at Avon fishing, and sent in some with his boy getting it done. Our surf fishing instructor took a group out early this morning and hit some nice drum, some blues, and flounder. They also hooked into a large tarpon and fought it all the way to the beach, and lost it to a wave while trying to get it onto the beach. Now, for someone who has never surf fished, that would have been the catch of a lifetime for sure. The spanish seemed to take the day off, but they will be back. The piers did not have much some croaker, mullet, and perch. I did have several anglers who have been catching drum, so they are out there right now, and we see some good fishing days for the rest of the week. The outside temp is supposed to really heat up, so we should see some good fishing, or at least fingers crossed.

Charters are ready, and they have been booking up so plan ahead and book early as you can.

Send those fish pics to obxbaitandtackle@yahoo.com, and we thank you.
