Corolla Fish Report
Another dreary day. It's hot and sunny with clean, clear water, but the real question is, where are the fish? I have everyone coming in wanting to know what to do, and really I have nothing as it looks to be widespread. If there's any good new I do see fish hitting off of the piers, where they also have had nothing as of late, so maybe things are about to change up. Rumor has it from the locals that they say tonight it's going to pick up, so we will see what I have for tomorrow's report. The nearshore charters had a good day yesterday with spanish, bluefish, triggerfish, sea bass, and some wahoo!! Amberjacks and false albacore, so quite the mix. The offshore fleet had yellowfin and plenty of mahi. The shrimp and crabbing are doing well, with about a bushel of crabs and around 70#s of shrimp on a three hour charter, so not too bad. Even the shark hunters that are up here this week have come up empty handed which is really surprising. I guess I'm going to do a happy fish dance to get things going tonight. Will see what I have to give to you tomorrow.
