Corolla Fish Report

Beautiful way to start the day!! Yes, there was coffee in hand. We have a check-in day today, but we did end the week with the surf fishing picking up. The mullet bite turned on, and it seems that the sand flea fish bites are what they wanted. We also heard that the flounder bite was on; the only bad thing is they are out of season, but fun to catch! The shark fishing really slowed up this last week for whatever reason, and we did see some bluefish. The piers report an early morning bluefish bite going on right now. The nearshore boats are doing well, and there has been a mix of fish depending on how long of a trip you get, but there are plenty of bluefish, spanish, false albacore, sea bass, triggerfish, and we did have some wahoo in close along with king mackerel. The all-day offshore fleet is coming back with some big yellowfin, tons of mahi, tilefish, and the marlin and sailfish yesterday were on fire, with plenty of them hitting the lines. The water temp is at 82 this morning, and we see the waves are going to increase late Sunday into Monday.
Not too early to book your offshore adventure; we have some great boats and captains. Call the shop for questions and booking.
Send your fish pics to obxbaitandtackle@yahoo.com, and we thank you all!!
