Corolla Fish Report

Gloomy morning. We had some early morning and afternoon rain yesterday, but you still had time to hit the surf. Today's pic was sent in from Calvin, and he was on a mission to get himself a shark, and well, he succeeded. I believe he had been striking out but was determined to get one, so well done, Calvin. We are still in that changeover time and have not heard too much of anything so far from the beach, but we are seeing some good conditions out today. We have a nice swell today with clean, clear water, so there should be a good bite this morning. We did have reports of the Spanish jumping all over the place yesterday, and the piers had blues and Spanish on them. The offshore fishing has been basically on fire with a red-hot tuna bite along with plenty of mahi. The billfish are on the hook as well, with blue marlin, whites, and sails so there is plenty of action going on right now. The nearshore boats have plenty of blues and Spanish with a mix of other species. 81 is the water temp for today and the sand flea fish bite have been working well for the mullet.
Charters are red hot and available call the shop for bookings.
Send your fish pics to obxbaitandtackle@yahoo.com and we thank you.
