Corolla Fish Report
Hot and Hazy. We have been getting some of the smoke from the fires, making it hazy out, and it is humid. The fishing at times has been good, with some drum coming in along with a good Spanish bite and, in the mix, bluefish, mullet, croaker, and flounder out of season, of course. Jennette's Pier is slow this morning due to the beach replenishment they are doing, so you may want to hit another pier if you're planning on going there to fish. Some of our pics today start with Dan on one of our charters having a blast it was just him and his son on the boat, and he was on a mission. He got what he asked for and also got to fly-line a tuna!! He also brought in a sailfish and mahi. Next up, Glen Ford was on a charter. He has a dogfish in his hands and is a regular in the shop, and we do enjoy him when he's here. Peyton, one of the Price twins, has caught yet another drum, this one in the slot, fishing with a whole finger mullet on a sliding rig. The offshore boats are doing very well, with big tuna, billfish, plenty of mahi, and tilefish. The nearshore boats with plenty of Spanish and bluefish, and moonfish and sea bass. The overall surf fishing has been pretty good and does have moments of turning on and off, so patience is a must.
