Here we go, a new week is ahead of us. Last week was not perfect, but we did end up having a good week. We had some nice drum landed along with some good spanish and bluefish blitz, and mullet, croaker, spot, and flounder. The folks looking to catch sharks did not have a good week, and the shark fishing as of late has been slim pickings. Today's pick was sent in by Kade, and he is proudly holding up his catch of the day with a nice drum!! The other picture is from our shrimp boat, and this is just after one haul with the net the shrimping this year is very good!! A little hazy again today with some wind, but the ocean is flat and we are still enjoying some very clean and clear water. Some reports that the water is cold, even though my charts say 79 degrees. It could just be we are seeing the water roll over a bit. The charter fishing is still going very well offshore with yellowfin, blackfin, lots of mahi, and tilefish. We will see what this new group this week can drum up this week, and I will keep you posted.

Charters are open and ready to go, but plan ahead as they do book up fast. Don't forget we do offer crab and shrimp trips as well!!

Send us your fish pics to obxbaitandtackle@yahoo.com, and we thank you.
